شهد الوسط الهندي - ونقصد هضبة الدكن - صراعًا مريرًا بين السنة والشيعة، كان من أبرز ملامحه التنافس الفكري عن طريق طرح مئات المؤلفات في مختلف الفنون، التي كان لها مغزى سياسي وديني بهدف كسب الهيئة السياسية وعامة الأهالي، وقد واجه السنة موجة عاتية من نظرائهم الشيعة الذين حاولوا إقصائهم عن الحياة السياسية، لكنهم تصدوا لهذا الواقع في صبر وثبات، متخذين عدة سبل؛ كان أهمها المؤلفات الدينية والصوفية التي استطاعوا من خلالها إثبات وجودهم وتفنيد حجج نظرائهم الشيعة. ومن هنا كان دراسة ظروف التأليف في الدكن مظهرًا مهمًا لفهم هذا الصراع والحكم عليه.

Abstract: The Indian community - and we mean the Deccan plateau - witnessed a bitter struggle between Sunnis and Shiites, one of its most prominent features was intellectual competition through the publication of hundreds of works in various arts, which had a political and religious significance with the aim of winning over the political body and the general population. The Sunnis faced a strong wave of their Shiite counterparts. Those who tried to exclude them from political life, but they faced this reality with patience and steadfastness, taking several methods. The most important of them were the religious and Sufi writings through which they were able to prove their existence and refute the arguments of their Shiite counterparts. Hence, studying the conditions of composition in the Deccan is an important aspect of understanding and judging this conflict.
