قامَ الباباْ أوربانُ الخامس بسياسةٍ صليبيةٍ وتبشيريةٍ واسعةٍ تجاهَ دولِ شبهِ جزيرةِ البلقانِ، خاصَّةً الأرثوذكسيةِ منهمُ، حينما استغلَّ الدولَ الكاثوليكيةَ هناكَ، وبارك أعمالِهم التوسعيةِ علىْ حسابِ جيرانِهم منْ الدولِ الأرثوذكسيةِ، كماْ سلكَ الباباَ طريقًا آخرَ تجاهَ هذهِ الدولِ، ألاْ وهوَ الطريقُ السلميُّ، المتمثلُ فيْ إرسالِ البعثاتِ التبشيريةِ عنْ طريقِ إرسالِ رهبانٍ منْ الفرنسيسكانِ والدومينيكانِ إلىْ تلكَ الدولَ، لتنفيذِ سياستِه الصليبيةِ والتبشيريةِ تجاهَ هذهِ الدولِ، وكانتْ منْ هذهِ الدولِ التيْ مارسَ الباباْ تجاههاْ هذه السياسة علىْ نطاقٍ واسعٍ، مملكةُ بلغارياْ الثانيةُ (1185-1398م).
The Crusader and Missionary Policy of Pope Urban V towards the Second Kingdom of Bulgaria (1363-1370 AD).
Abstract: Pope Urban V carried out a broad crusader and missionary policy towards the countries of the Balkan Peninsula, especially the Orthodox among them when he took advantage of the Catholic countries there and blessed their expansionist actions at the expense of their neighbors from the Orthodox countries. He Sent missionaries by sending monks from the Franciscans and the Dominicans to those countries, to implement his crusader and missionary policy towards these countries, and one of these countries that the Pope practiced this policy on a large scale was the Second Kingdom of Bulgaria (1185-1398 AD).
